Nova Nest: Low-Tech Sustainable Cottage in Nova Scotia

The building is completely SIP construction: walls, roof, and floor; this maximizes thermal & construction efficiency.  The exterior includes prefinished exterior cladding for cost effective construction and factory finish warranties (fiber cement panel, corrugated metal).  The project is notable for its low-tech sustainability; small size, limited waste construction (SIP), & minimal energy footprint (passive heating/cooling with solar/wind orientation).
